Anyone and everyone in a working role who needs to learn the basics of safety and health.
Candidates must have conversational level English to allow full participation in lessons and discussions. They will have to be physically able to participate in manual handling exercises as well as warm up exercises.
Safe Manual Handling is designed for any employee, in any sector of employment. It provides the knowledge and practical skills and techniques to carry out safe manual handling in the workplace.
The course can be delivered either at the college or in the client’s workplace to suit your business and can include the use of clients’ mechanical manual handling aids. It leads to college accredited certification.
The course has a mixture of theoretical knowledge, demonstrations of how to warm up the body for physical activity, and opportunities to practice handling techniques.
