Candidates must be 16 years or older and will need to bring with them proof of identity (i.e. Passport/National Identification).
About this course
One of the basic safety training courses under STCW, for persons who would like a career on board ship. The course aims to contribute to the enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness, recognising security threats and understanding the need security awareness and vigilance.
The course covers the following:
Raise awareness of the importance of ship security and the roles of those involve in its provision.
Awareness of the requirements and measures to maintain ship security.
Recognise and report security threats.
The course will enable those undergoing training to put into practice techniques and procedures for maintaining the security of the vessel through role-play, simulation and scenario-based training.
